Rodman In Team Of The Week (5/9/17)

Rodman In Team Of The Week (5/9/17)

Shrewsbury Town are represented in the latest Football League team of the week that has been selected after this week's action.

The performance by Alex Rodman in the two one victory over Gillingham at the weekend at the Priestfield Stadium was enough to earn them a place in the side alongside the other most impressive performers in the Football League pyramid.

I think we'll already know ourselves, and not just based on the latest performance, why Rodman was selected as part of the team but explaining the choice - the FL blurb read.

'Rodman made one goal and scored the other, helping Shrewsbury extend their unbeaten start to the season. Teeing up Carlton Morris for the opener, he then headed home Shaun Whalley`s cross to double the lead at Gillingham, with the Shrews going on to win 2-1 and make it five undefeated.'

It's always good to see the club represented in this way, and well played to Rodman for his recognition, but the most important thing about the weekend was of course the points.

Full Team:

Brendan Moore (Rochdale), Joe Martin (Stevenage), Troy Brown (Exeter City), Anthony Stewart (Wycombe Wanderers), Levi Sutton (Scunthorpe United), Alex Rodman (Shrewsbury Town), Tarique Fosu (Charlton Athletic), Siriki Dembele (Grimsby Town), Jordan Roberts (Crawley Town), Charlie Wyke (Bradford City), Shaq Coulthirst (Barnet).

Manager - Kevin Nolan (Notts County).
