Goldson Signs Two Year Deal

Goldson Signs Two Year Deal

Well the wait is over, and Connor Goldson has assessed his options, and decided to sign the two year deal we had put on the table for him.

The 21 year old defender did have a number of options and expressions of interest from clubs higher up the pyramid following our relegation last term, and apparently there was also one Premier League side who were interested in maybe taking him on, but having been given time to look at things, whilst manager Micky Mellon made no secret of the fact he wanted the player to stay, Goldson has now committed his future to us and will be looking to build on the 70 appearances he has made for us so far since signing his professional deal back in 2010.

There'll no doubt me more on this as the weekend progresses, but it'll keep our manager happy and with Goldson already in training of course the gaffer can continue with his plans now and not have to look for a replacement that he didn't want to make in the first place.
