Two Friendlies Announced By shrewsbury

Two Friendlies Announced By shrewsbury

Shrewsbury Town have announced two friendlies for the summer preparations and one of them comes against Premier League opposition.

We will host West Bromwich Albion at Greenhous Meadow on Tuesday July 15th and the game will kick off at 7.45pm.

Manager Micky Mellon will especially be looking forward to the tie as he used to ply his trade as a player with the club.

'It's good to be playing the Baggies and nice to see my old club in the Premier League. It will be a good test for us early on and we know that we will be made to defend, to play against a team with such quality and tempo will give us an idea of where we are.'

Mellon goes on to say that pre season friendlies that don't let him see the good, the bad, and the ugly are pointless, so all the games arranged will have a purpose in mind because he knows he has to learn every match so we can work to improve.

The club have also announced a friendly against Kidderminster Harriers and we will travel to Aggborough on Tuesday July 29th for a 7.45pm kick off also.

More friendlies will be announced soon.
