Swindon Striker Joins On Loan

Swindon Striker Joins On Loan

Ahead of this weekends game against Port Vale, caretaker manager Michael Jackson has added Miles Storey to our playing ranks.

It's another loan organised by our temporary gaffer, an this ones sees the 20 year old twice capped England U19 international travel to Greenhous Meadow for the next month.

Storey made his breakthrough for Swindon last season under Paulo Di Canio and he went on to score a brace in their Capital One Cup loss to Aston Villa.

Since making his breakthrough he has made four starts for them, but has got further experience with 23 appearances from the subs bench. Across all competitions in that time he has scored four goals.

He has spent previous time out on loan with Salisbury where he played three times at the beginning of last season, but the bulk of his appearances for Swindon have come in this campaign, so they will no doubt be hoping he gets a good run of playing time during his spell with us.

Speaking to the Official Site after his arrival was announced, the player said.

'As soon as I found out that Shrewsbury were interested, I leapt at the chance really to come and join the lads. I knew I was looking for a loan club and it all came about very quickly so I'm just really excited now.'

Miles is available for the game this weekend and could well make his club debut, and he has been handed the No 20 shirt. If all goes well, the loan will no doubt be extended.
