Jackson To Remain Until End Of February

Caretaker manager Mike Jackson has been told by Shrewsbury Town that he will remain in charge of first team affairs throughout the month of February.

Club chairman Roland Wycherley confirmed earlier today that he had spoken to Jackson and informed him that he would like him to remain as our caretaker gaffer for the next month, as he believes that it's only fair - with Jackson already admitting he'd like to be considered for the permanent role - for him to be given more time to stake his claim, especially as Tuesday night's game against Colchester had to be postponed owing to the weather conditions.

Must admit, it does look like it's Jackson's job to lose at the moment, because he is making signings in the window, and he's added another today, and I doubt our chairman would be sanctioning those kind of moves if Jacko wasn't high on his list for the job.
