'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Turner Delighted With Bradshaw Call Up

Tom Bradshaw has been recalled into the Welsh U21 squad after missing out recently, and Graham Turner has said it's a testament of how quickly fortunes can change in this game.

The striker had been omitted from recent international squad's, but he was handed a late call up from the standby squad, for Wales' upcoming games against San Marino and Moldova earlier this week.

Clearly his goalscoring performances against Swindon, Rotherham and Coventry haven't gone unnoticed by the powers that be in the Welsh U21 set up.

Speaking to the Official Site following the news, Graham Turner was obviously delighted for the 21 year old, saying.

'It's amazing how fortunes can change rapidly in football, isn't it. He started the season with us, didn't get a goal, went out of the side and got back in and got his goal, and then suddenly it's three in three games and he's back into international duty.'

Despite his obvious delight for the player, knowing the confidence boost he'll have received from the call up, Turner did admit he'd still rather have him at the Greenhous Meadow training on a daily basis so he can continue to help him improve the sides of his game that need work on and continue his overall development as a player.

It goes without saying as well that Turner probably has one eye on him picking up a potential injury whilst out on international duty as well, but at least his fears on that score will be allayed somewhat by the fact that it was a late call up, so he's most likely going to be on the bench and not starting the match.

Equally Turner also talked about the worry of him not getting game time, and only doing limited training along with all the travel, so he might return not quite as sharp as he would've been had he remained at the club.

But such are the trials of international football!
