Galatasaray Will Be A Great Test

Galatasaray Will Be A Great Test

Graham Turner has said that the excitement within the camp is now building ahead of the Galatasaray friendly.

Speaking to the Official Site Turner said it would be a great game for the club and you only have to look at the players on their squad to know that it will be a fantastic test and experience for the players.

'To have them coming to the Meadow is a terrific boost for us. It should be a nice atmosphere and it should be a big boost to have a good gate during the pre season programme.'

Whilst few people will be expecting Shrewsbury to pull out a result, Turner says it will be a fantastic fitness exercise and he expects the players to give their all to match them where they can. Clearly for us showing we can improve in ball retention, tight passing etc will be a very good test as we nullify them the best we can, and then, it's football, anything can and may happen.

'It's a terrific challenge for the players, go and prove something, go and do something against them, go and see if we can score, see if we can keep a clean sheet for long periods of the game. All those sorts of challenges come in.'
