'If It's Football, It's Vital'

TNS Practice Game Today

Graham Turner is relishing the first taste of proper football this pre season in our behind closed doors friendly against TNS today.

Turner plans on using all available players, but he will be without Tamika Mkandawire as he has a slight hamstring issue, and Aaron Wildig is listed as touch and go with a hip flexor problem, but he wants to play and GT will consider maybe a 30 minute run out if he seems fine.

Speaking to the Official Site the manager explained.

'We'll probably play two 30 minutes and then maybe 20 minutes for the last segment of the game. It gives players a chance to get a little bit of game time in.'

Turner says it doesn't need to be too tough, it's a part of the fitness programme and players will be training prior to kick off.

He also adds it will give him the chance to see some trialists is a slightly more competitive match.

'It gives me an opportunity to look at one or two that have been training with us and see how they go. It's an interesting one and obviously TNS playing in Europe will be a little bit more advanced with their training, so it will be a good, physical work out for us.'
