Ward Leaves For Nottingham Forest

Shrewsbury are looking for a new goalkeeping coach after Gavin Ward departed for Championship side Nottingham Forest.

In the short term, the very experienced Eric Steele will be helping out for a few days after he just left Manchester United, which will allow Graham Turner time to consider a long term replacement.

Speaking to the Official Site Turner said.

'Gavin's been offered a job at Forest and has been keen to accept it. I can understand his reasons. It's a big club and it's happened very rapidly, in the last 24 hours. I've got somebody in for next week and then we'll have a look on a more permanent basis.'

Turner adds on his good friend Eric Steele that he's sure our goalkeepers will enjoy working with him, and with his experience he'll no doubt be a very good boost for them.
