Grandison Declines Contract & Leaves

Graham Turner has confirmed that agreement has not been reached with Jermaine Grandison and he has now officially left the club.

However Shrewsbury will continue to help the player rehabilitate from his hip injury but his time as a player with us is over.....

Speaking to the Official Site the manager explained.

'Unfortunately Jermaine, through his agent, turned down the offer that we had made him. It looks as though he's going to be out for quite some time and we will be responsible for his medical well being, but unfortunately now as far as the relationship between Jermaine and the club, that's gone and Jermaine has departed. His contract finished at the end of June and so that's it.'

Turner says he's surprised by the reaction of Grandison to the offer he was given, but these things happen in football.
