GT Talks Contracts And Plans

Graham Turner has had his short break and he's now back in his office using the telephone until it cries for mercy as he accelerates plans for next season.

As we know, two youngsters have already put pen to paper on the deals they were offered and GT told the Official Site.

'I think Tom finished the season off really well and has a lot of potential, what we need to see is that potential coming out. Next season is a big season for Tom and he had got to fulfil that potential now. Aaron is a very good footballer, he sees a pass, executes it well and is another with a lot of potential. If he can grow in confidence, and if that can come from a run in the side, if you look the team has generally done well when Aaron plays.'

Turner says that fans can be bouyed by looking at what smaller and less cash rich teams can achieve and points to Yeovil as an example of getting the mix right in the camp, and that doesn't happen overnight he's hopeful of creating that young and hungry mix with key experience around them to really help push us on.

'As long as you have that spirit in your side and that energy it can make things happen and a club can be successful. We now understand what we need from certain players and what quality we need to push on.'

Turner admits he's still waiting to hear from Jon Taylor, Connor Goldson, Jermaine Grandison and Ryan Woods on whether they are going to sign their offered contracts and he's been meeting with agents already this week to thrash things out so he knows what he has to do moving forward.

The deadline for an indication is June 14th so the only rush is in Turner's own plans here to sort the side as quickly as possible.

'We've just got to be patient an see all the deals through.'
