Still Waiting On Contracts

Still Waiting On Contracts

Graham Turner has said that he's still waiting to hear from the six players that have been offered contracts by the club.

Speaking to the Official Site the gaffer explained that he was still waiting to hear from Tom Bradshaw, Connor Goldson, Jermaine Grandison, Jon Taylor, Aaron Wildig and Ryan Woods.

'We've heard nothing at all from any of them. Young Jack Gwilliams has signed a contract but the rest of the under 24's that are out of contract that we've made offers to, I've not heard anything yet.'

Turner does however say that he's not overly concerned by this as players are away on holiday and he knows others will leave it until the deadline which has been set at May 29.

He was however very pleased that Jack jumped at the offer so quickly and got everything tied up, especially as he's a local lad.

Graham also said that he had held additional discussions with potential new targets, but as of yet non of them are near a conclusion because agents weren't involved and it was just an initial 'get to know you' about life and football to sound out options.

There are two players from that list though that he's been very impressed with, and he's playing with the idea of making offers before the end of the week.
