Turner Welcomes Local Rivalry

Turner Welcomes Local Rivalry

Graham Turner has said that next season will see League One become a very tough division, but he welcomes the number of local sides we will face.

Speaking to the Official Site the manager also said that Shrewsbury would be well placed for next season following our experiences this campaign.

'There's Wolves, Coventry, Walsall, Port Vale, so there's some good games in there. With Sheffield United staying, it's going to be a tough league. We hope that we've learned a lesson from this season and we'll be better equipped to deal with first division football next season. I believe we will and there is no reason for us to look forward with anything other than optimism.'

Turner says that there is still a lot of work to be done over the summer to prepare us and strengthen us as he wants to.

Turner obviously has his own reasons to be happy to return to Wolves next season whilst also feeling sad about their dramatic drop down the divisions.
