GT's Going No Where

GT's Going No Where

It's been confirmed that Graham Turner will be in charge of the squad next season.

Chairman Roland Wycherley told the Official Site that during a time where so many clubs are facing stability issues and tough challenges, Shrewsbury were striving to find consistency and continuity as we look to develop further as a club, and he points to perfect examples of where trying a quick fix to attain success backfires in the long term.

'Through a combination of the board's strategy and Graham's knowledge and experience, we have secured our position in League 1 without compromising Shrewsbury Town Football Club, an achievement which we are proud of. League 1 has seen a demanding season with so much being learnt, but whatever the challenge Graham has never failed to show determination and to express a positive attitude, attributes which have contributed to the club finishing 16th in League 1, our highest position for 23 years.'

He goes on to say that the board would like to publicly thank Graham, and his backroom staff for the tremendous hard work this season.

Turner himself thanked the board for their faith and belief in him and said he was looking forward to the challenges we will face next campaign, whilst also himself thanking his backroom staff for their efforts to help him this season.

'In addition I would like to give a special thank you to everyone who came to support us through the season, this commitment is very much appreciated. I look forward to seeing you next season.'
