GT - Almost Home & Dry

GT - Almost Home & Dry

Graham Turner knows that Shrewsbury are almost home and dry in terms of avoiding relegation this season, and he's admitted it is a huge relief.

Speaking to the Official Site Turner said the focus was to make sure we got that point that will see us mathematically safe for the season, although he knows with our goal advantage the players can feel a certain amount of relief and maybe go out in the remaining games and express themselves better, giving us a more comfortable end to the season.

'With the way the results went on Tuesday, it would have to be an absolute disaster for us to go down. There would have to be a 19 goal change in goal difference. We're six points clear of Scunthorpe who have two games left and it's only goal different now that can change so we're almost home and dry.'

Turner adds that he's happy with the position we are in now because safety is most definitely in our own hands, and the sooner we get that all important point plans can be made to ensure we have a better season next campaign.
