'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Benefits Of Strengthening

Graham Turner has said the squad are already reaping the benefits of Rob Edwards and Chris Porter being added to the team.

Speaking to the Official Site the gaffer said that the extra bit of experience from playing at a higher level, was definitely on show when Edwards and Porter made their winning debuts.

'There's a massive amount of experience in there now. And with the games to come, with that experience at this stage of the season it could be vital.'

As for the result of the game against Tranmere, Turner added that there was a certain amount of relief at taking all three points and he did acknowledge that their dismissal did help us, but we still had to put in the performance to make sure and he was proud of the players for giving their all.
