Goldson Looking To Work His Way Back In

Connor Goldson has said he is focused on winning his place back in the team after being dropped following the Swindon game, and then suffering a period of illness.

Speaking to the Shropshire Star the versatile defender has said he's looking to push past the current preferred defence and get his spot back.

'I was very disappointed to be left out of the side and I was ill for the Preston game which was a set back. I was on the bench last weekend and I need to work hard now and force my way back in sooner rather than later.'

Goldson turned out successfully alongside Rob Edwards in the reserves the other day and he does say he prefers to play at centre back, but would happily fill in at right back if it meant getting back on the pitch.
