Doble Pleased With Start

Ryan Doble has said he was pleased to finally get a first team start after his substitute appearances, but he wished the result had worked out better.

Speaking to the Official Site Doble explained that he'd been biding his time, working hard in training so he could take advantage of any opportunity that came his way, so he was pleased to get his first start since joining the club in the summer.

'It's been a long time coming but it's disappointing to lose. I think we started the game well and at periods we did well, if we could've weathered the storm early in the second half, it could've been a different game.'

Doble has been struggling fitness wise recently and admits he isn't at the peak of fitness after fracturing his hand, but he obviously hopes he's done enough to impress Graham Turner and keep his place for the next game.
