Turner - We Lost To The Better Team

Graham Turner has conceded we lost to the better team today in the 2-1 loss to Sheffield United.

Speaking to the Official Site following the game, Turner said.

'I just think we were beaten by a side who were stronger than us and better than us. Overall we've got to be disappointed with our performance, but you sometimes have to hold your hands up.'

Turner said he can't fault the effort the players put in during the game, and he knows they worked as hard as they could, but it just wasn't good enough to create the chances we needed to get something from the game.

As for John Taylor's early substitution through injury, Turner explained.

'He's opened his groin, I think it's too early to comment on the extent of the injury yet.'

Hopefully in a few days we'll know how long he will be out for, but it is again another injury blow for us that Turner has to contend with.
